Built in 1937, this Sinclair service station is one of only a few remaining in Ohio that retains its original, unaltered, appearance. Though an original picture of this particular building from the 1930s has yet to be found, the image printed on state maps, published by Sinclair in 1937 (Figure 1), depicts the building as it was built elsewhere by the oil company, showing the popularity of this mission-style architectural design for many of their stations around this time. This image serves as a model for the restoration of this historic building.
